Work We Admire: Lora Avedian

Lora Avedian is a multidisciplinary textile artist in London, using traditional needlecraft techniques to create bespoke soft furnishings for fashion, art, and homewares.

My work as a textile artist uses traditional embroidery techniques as a way to translate my drawings from my visual research into stitch. I often look at historical textiles and ethnographic objects as a starting point which enables me to create work which finds a balance between the old and the new.
